Who we are

About Klotz Media Solutions

Founded by two engineers whose careers span the full arc of professional broadcast audio.

Klotz Media Solutions (KMS) was founded by Thomas Klotz and Phil Collins โ€” two engineers whose careers span the full arc of professional broadcast audio.

Thomas is a German audio-industry entrepreneur and industrial designer who founded Klotz Digital, developing networked audio systems and digital mixing consoles that were installed in broadcast facilities across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Phil holds a First-Class Honours degree in Electronics and has spent fifty years in professional audio. At Clyde Broadcast, he designed four generations of mixing console for UK commercial radio and developed integrated broadcast platforms sold internationally across Asia.

Between us, we have more than a hundred years of experience in broadcast system design, manufacturing and installation.

Why we started KMS

We established KMS to address a gap we both saw in the market. Most manufacturers focus on large stations and networks, while local and community stations, which play an especially important role right now by giving listeners familiar voices, a sense of home and the local stories they wonโ€™t find anywhere else, are barely noticed. Many of these broadcasters, particularly those in remote locations, with limited budgets and little in-house technical support, were being offered equipment that was more complex and more expensive than they needed.

Our approach is straightforward. We design products that do what broadcasters actually need, built to last, simple to operate and practical to maintain, without the technical overkill that drives up cost and creates dependency on specialist support.

Aircaster mixers are designed and assembled in the UK. We work directly with stations and through a growing network of regional partners.
